BioValley Life Sciences Week 2010
In the week of September 20, 2010 Basel – Europe’s largest Pharma and Biotech Cluster – will again be in the focus of Industry, Academia, and Investors for 5 days. The following events will take place in the facilities of Messe Basel and the Congress Center Basel:- September 21-24 the combined, interlinked events of the BioValley Life Sciences Week and Miptec will again present exchange platforms for Academia, for Researchers, Developers and Business Developers from Industry, for Investors, for Founders of Start-ups, for Politicians and for the Public at Large etc.. In 2009 this combined event attracted more than 2’500 participants, making it Europe´s largest Drug Discovery Event.
- The BioValley Life Sciences Week will start with the “Science Day” on Sep 21, continue on Sep 22 with the “Technology Transfer and Strategy Day” and on September 23 with the “Connect Day”, a well-acknowledged platform for start-ups, investors and consultants. In addition, there will be smaller side events like the “INSEAD Alumni Event”.
- September 20 and 21 the Friedrich Miescher Institute FMI will celebrate its 40th anniversary with the symposium “Frontiers in Biomedical Research”.
- September 21-24 also ILMAC – one of the largest Industrial Exhibition for Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharma Research & Development and Process Technology – will take place. In 2007 this fair attracted more than 16’000 participants.
- September 21-24 the Swiss Chemical Society SCG will present talks on innovative polymer chemistry.
All four events – BioValley Life Sciences Week, Miptec, FMI Anniversary, ILMAC and SCG – will form the
