The CTI Entrepreneurs' Roundtable will be moderated by Dr. Marcos Garcìa Pedraza (CTI Coach) and offers ambitious young entrepreneurs the opportunity to discuss open questions with very experienced and successful entrepreneurs.

The conditions of acceptance are:

1. The CTI Entrepreneurs' Roundtable is exclusively open to young entrepreneurs of a company in the ICT Industry in the CTI Coaching program or with the CTI Start-up Label.

2. With the registration, three questions on the company's current issues have to be submitted.

3. Admission is limited to 12 guests. In case of more registrations a selection committee will prioritize admission.

The topic of the afternoon are the challenges of life sciences start-ups. It starts with a keynote address by Trevor Mundel, M.D., Ph.D., Novartis Pharma AG, Head of Development, addressing the role of biotech start-ups in the environment of life sciences business.

After this top-class beginning, three projects seeking partners for financing will present their case, followed with the award ceremony of the prestigious life sciences prize by Dr. Franz Saladin, Director Basel Chamber of Commerce. After a break, a panel will discuss the financing of start-ups in the very first phase. The panel will consist of two CEOs of start-ups where BioBAC members contributed as investors in the initial phase (J.-P. Obrecht / Polyphor and Ch. Schaub / RedBiotec), the head coach of CTI - the important federal agency for young entrepreneurs in Switzerland (P. Harboe-Schmidt) - and a leading expert for the Life Sciences scene in Switzerland and Europe (J. Zürcher).

BioBAC is the only Business Angels Club in Switzerland focusing entirely on life sciences projects. The members raised CHF 24 mio. for life sciences start-ups (over CHF 12 mio. for companies in the Basel Area) since the foundation of BioBAC.
