The BioValley Life Sciences Week aims to offer a platform to experts and executives of the Basel economic region, in which strategies and innovations in the domain of Life Sciences will be discussed and debated with a wider audience. The various events during the three days are to bring together personalities from academia, business, politics as well as the general public of the Life Sciences cluster of the region of Basel, being the largest in Europe and the densest Life Sciences cluster worldwide.

Along the BioVallIey Life Sciences Week, other important life sciences events will take place. In 2010 this was MipTec – The Leading European Event for Drug Discovery. The two congresses attracted over 2’600 participants. The exhibition and science sessions were alive with discussion and exchange of ideas. .

The interaction between different life sciences events offers an excellent opportunity for networking and information sharing to the participants as well as to the public and highlights the importance of the Life Sciences research and industry in Basel.
